Meet the Team

Maria LeBlanc Allen, R.D.H.

Clinical Team
Maria enjoys being part of a dental team that provides advanced, comfortable care. She attended Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe where she earned a B.S. in Dental Hygiene.

Maria and her husband, Matt, have two sons, John and David. She loves expressing her creativity as a licensed florist and enjoys working with brides-to-be in her free time. She also enjoys reading and kickboxing.

Tammie Nelson, R.D.H.

Clinical Team
Tammie loves working with her patients to help them build and maintain beautiful smiles. She is a native of Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She is also an active participant in both the American and Louisiana Dental Hygienists’ Associations.

Tammie is married to Ryan and has three sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and making gourmet cupcakes.

Trudy D’Augereau

Clinical Team
As a certified, expanded-duty dental assistant, Trudy works chairside with Dr. Nichols during a variety of dental treatments. She particularly enjoys working one-on-one with patients and is always helpful and informative. Her cheery, outgoing personality allows her to excel in helping patients relax for a more pleasant dental experience.

Trudy is a native of the Lafayette area. She is married to Tim and has two children, Lyndsey and Jacque, and five grandchildren. When Trudy is not at the office, she can be found having fun with her grandchildren as “Mom-T,” or on her boat, fishing.

Alaina Joubert, R.D.H.

Clinical Team
Alaina enjoys providing quality care while putting patients at ease in a positive work environment. She attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, earning her B.S. in Dental Hygiene.

Alaina is married and has one son named Cayson. Some of their favorite hobbies include playing ball, reading, and spending time with their family and their dogs.

Layla Shamp

Clinical Team
As a Certified Expanded Dental Assistant, Layla assists Dr. Nichols. She takes the time and effort to make sure our patients feel comfortable and at ease. Layla is also a licensed cosmetologist.

Layla and her husband, Aaron, have two children, Nora and Gideon a dog named Jolie. Layla enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and church family.

Andrea Miller

Business Administrator
Andrea came to our office in July 2017 with over 15 years of experience in the dental field. Her former knowledge of
clinical assisting allows her to effectively present treatment plans to patients. Andrea’s professionalism and strong attention to detail make her a wonderful asset to our team. When she is not working, Andrea loves to cook, and
spend time with her husband Chance and their two young sons, Collin and Noah.
